About our refinery clay & chemicals
Edible oil refining removes free fatty acids, gums, pigments, soaps and trace metals from crude oil so it becomes clear, stable and neutral in taste. Three chemical inputs are central to that process: caustic soda for neutralisation, citric acid for degumming and bleaching earth (activated clay) for removing colour and impurities. Filter aid then helps separate spent clay from the bleached oil.
We supply all of these consumables from one source, so refineries can schedule their chemical requirements in a single contract. Bleaching earth is supplied in natural and acid-activated grades with controlled particle size, moisture and acidity; caustic soda in flakes and pearls; citric acid in anhydrous and monohydrate forms.
